Abstract English

The surgical experience itself is an assault on the human body with the idea of cure. However, in some cases the relief of a patient’s condition may be done by creating a new handicap. In such cases, social adjust and productivity is usually the most critical area of rehabilitation. This study was carried out on 20 patients with differentsurgicalinterventions [mastectomy, fasciomaxillary reconstruction, colostomy and amputation] . The acceptance disability scale was used adapted from Ogiowno. Analysis of data revealed that the self-image of those patients was greatly altered [negative among 75 males and negative among 62.5% of females] . Classification had also revealed different adaptation forms varying between accommodation to ruined personality
