Abstract English

Six variables of pulmonary functions [VC, FVC, FEV1, FEV1%, MMFT and MMFR] were compared between 80 heavy cigarette smokers and 50 nonsmokers. There was a significant difference of pulmonary function tests between heavy cigarette smokers and nonsmokers. Our findings are in accordance with other. Significant difference of MMFR and MMFT in these two groups shows a marked airway obstruction in heavy smokers
