Abstract English

168 cases of cutaneous leishmaniasis were diagnosed by clinical manifestations and laboratory findings. It was found that, age group less than 10 years in both males and females have more frequent occurence among total cases. Males were predominating [63. 1%]. Single lesions were [47. 6%] and multiple lesions [52. 4%]. Saudi were [39. 9%] while Egyptian were [31. 5%]. The majority of the patients gave a history of contact to animals and rodents. Head and neck lesions accounted for the majority of the cases [88. 7%]. The farmers and labourer’s related to the farm were the most affected, Treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis by local Carbon Dioxide Snow proved successfully cure in [87. 2%] specially solitary lesion, while Pentostostam proved successful in curing [95. 5%] of cases specially of multiple lesions
