1. Carotenoids were estimated in liver, adipose tissue, gonads and serum of male and female uromastix during hibemation.2. Ethanol soluble, hexane soluble and total carotenoids were determined.3. Total carotenoids content was significantly higher in the adipose tissue and gonads of males as compared to females, while reverse was true for serum. No significant difference was observed in case of liver of both sexes
