One hundred biopsy proven cases of primary hepatocellular carcinoma [P. H. C. ] were studied in the last two years at Nishtar Hospital Multan. Fifth decade of life was more prone to the development of P. H. C. and male to female ratio was 3: 1. Two third [65%] of cases presented with pain in right upper quadrant whereas 53% presented with right sided abdominal mass. Generalized weakness and malaise were present in all the cases. Hepatomegaly [100%] , tenderness [83%] and palmar erythema [71%] were the important signs. Liver bruit was audible in only 4% of cases
