This study includes 50 patients with carcinoma of the gallbladder treated during a ten years period. The mean age was 64 years, the majority were females. The incidence of gall stones was 54%.
In the vast majority, the tumors was advanced at the time of diagnosis with liver metastasis and / or invasion. Most patients were treated by palliative measures and survival was very poor. Early diagnosis, radical surgery offer the only hope for a better cure rate
