Two flavonoid aglycones, apigenin and chrysoeriol, in addition to sitosterol-3-O-beta-glucoside, were isolated from the radical leaves of the non flowering plant, D. carota L. var. sativa Umbelliferae.
The chemical structures were established by UV, MS, PMR, and 13C-NMR as well as by direct comparison with authentic samples
