Abstract English

The electronic record software has become an integral part of the healthcare system in improving patient care delivery. This study was carried out to study the effectiveness of electronic medication record and to evaluate the consent of patients and doctors with the perceived quality of care by using the software. This study has also determined the preference of patients as well as doctors towards the record management by using software based method or paper based medical records. The results of this study showed positive relationship between service quality and electronic medical records. The most immediate benefit of electronic medical records is time management and immediate online access at any time. It is concluded that the implementation of electronic medical record system is necessary for the assurance of high quality care
