Kartagener syndrome is one of the clinical conditions caused by immotile cilia. It is a rare disease. The pathophysiological defect is primary ciliary dyskinesia, which is now well characterized.
We report a classical case of Kartagener syndrome having a triad of bronchiectasis, dextrocardia with situs inversus and chronic sinusitis. The patient was admitted to King Abdulaziz Hospital, Makkah, Saudi Arabia with fever, productive cough and shortness of breath. The patient is presently on regular physiotherapy with proper antibiotic cover, good hydration and nutrition. He is showing improvement in his general health and is more regular in his school attendance now
