Six male patients were divided into two groups. Group A received complete maxillary denture opposing m and ibular overdenture supported by dowels and copings luted to the two non-parallel canines.
Group B received complete maxillary denture opposing m and ibular overdenture supported by dowel and core luted to the non-parallel m and ibular canines with bar connecting the two abutments together. Radiographs were made before denture insertion, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months after denture insertion. Bone resorption was determined after each interval in the anterior, premolar and molar region. The results showed that the mean bone resorption at the tested consecutive periods was statistically insignificant between the same group and between the two groups
